In our blog, we make interviews with our team. And there are awesome and simple quotes about different parts of their job. They are inspirational and easy to apply if you just started in recruiting or need some external motivation.

About recruitment

“Don’t go for recruiting, go for learning first!”

It’s important to be proactive and to investigate how it is best to find candidates depending on the industry, country, culture. For example, if you are looking for developers, you’d better go to meetups and events to learn about their interests and challenges at work.

“Increase own level of expertise”

The main task of a good recruiter is to find a special approach to every project and candidate, based on industry and market characteristics. That’s why it is crucially important for a recruiter to increase own level of expertise, as it allows to understand the candidate’s expectations and professional experience.

About candidates

A good programmer is the one who is always learning new things.”

It can be not only new languages or frameworks, but it’s also about new ways to do things. A good programmer is the one who is always updated. And if we speak about the transition between different industries, if you say to a recruiter “that’s what I’ve already learned, and I want to learn further” — you’re a good programmer.

“A cool developer is always interested in a company and project details.”

Such a candidate will always try to find out things, ask us for additional information from a client. The one who is applying for each vacancy and just looking for a job itself will be simply answering the questions asked, without being enthusiastic. It is always clear.

“A good programmer can compare stack and know how to do his job the right way.”

A good programmer should know that not every stack suit for all the apps he/she wants to build. It’s important to be able to analyze and compare, to make sure that your solutions are working not only now, that you deliver long-lasting options. Of course, it depends on the scalability of what you’re doing, but the more variants of implementation of a task you consider the better.

P.S. We plan to update this list.
